Tena Lundquist Faust

Tena Lundquist Faust has devoted her life to rescuing and advocating for neglected and abused animals. Inspired at a young age, she has worked alongside her twin sister, Tama Lundquist, for over 15 years to address Houston's stray animal crisis. Together, they co-founded and co-preside over Houston PetSet, raising more than $5 million for various animal welfare organizations. They also co-produced the 2023 documentary For the Animals, which sheds light on the plight of abandoned animals in Houston.

Tena earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Houston and has been involved in founding Houston’s Bureau of Animal Welfare and Control (BARC) Foundation, as well as establishing the Harris County Animal Cruelty Task Force. She has received numerous honors, including the Houston PetSet Day Proclamation and the 2022 Houston Woman Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women award.

In addition to her animal advocacy, Tena serves on multiple boards, including Magpies and Peacocks and Crime Stoppers of Houston. Tena and her husband Tyson are also philanthropically involved, having been recognized by Texas Children’s Medical Center and Houston Achievement Place for their contributions. In her downtime, Tena enjoys spending time with her rescue dogs, Benjamin, Alfie, and Remy.
